Building a legacy.

My Kind Of Homesick

Released June 5th 2026

Recorded at Fly Away Recording + Media Studio Montreal

Behind the track…

This song was released while the others were still being recorded. It was recorded first because it felt like the simplest one, less elaborate.

The scary thing with releasing before the album is over is that you know there is so much you’ll want to change in that very song, but it’ll be too late. This is maybe what makes this one the most honest of all – a bridge between a demo and a full-fledged studio production.

Lyrics

My kind of homesick (back home for now)

We may have been apart for quite a while

But I’ve never been real distant in my mind

Sometimes I feel like home is what defines

That little fantasy you call a happy life

The smell of your coffee snakes up through the stairs

Wakes me up soaking wet wondering what led me here

Each time I sense I’ve worn out my welcome

I slip through the door when lights have turned off

Chorus

(I’m) back home for now, long as I can bear the chains

It’s true last time was brief, maybe I’ll change

Back home for now, but I can see the mirror stressing

The walls that swallow me – I just wanna scream

This comforting home, is the dream of another

The more I stick around, I sense him getting closer

Smoking, quiet, in a chair on the porch

Waiting until i’ll step out the door

When I see you try that makes me cry

(Yeah) You open your arms and I’m back each time

You swallow your pride/ then say it’s alright

Why don’t you kick me out, you’ll be fine

Bridge

Yeah I know he’s no more

but the walls saw your love

My kind of homesick strikes me when I’m here

Not when I’m gone, wandering in the streets

(I’m) back home for now, long as I can bear the chains

It’s true last time was brief, maybe I’ll change (décalé, parlé)

Back home for now, but I can see the mirror stressing

The walls that swallow me – I just wanna scream

Post Chorus

(I’m) back home for now, but I could not forget the chains

This was the last time, I’ll never change

Back home for now, tomorrow I’ll be far from here

Why don’t you follow me?

Outro

Come out with me, see what we’ll be, roam the world, let’s be free

I’m pretty sure if you give it try,

you and I will grow back to life

Sell this house, burn it down, let your comfort behind

Our graves in a junkyard, side by side (after all)

I’d live this life twice, oh

If you’d answer my call

Part Of His Dream

Released August 28th 2026

Recorded at Fly Away Recording + Media Studio Montreal

Behind the track…

This track was not planned for the album. There was enough material with the others. But when we noticed there wasn’t a single song under the 4 minutes mark, it was a warning. The project was missing the most elementary format needed to reach a broader audience.

I quickly wrote a track that was voluntarily shorter. Barely made it below 4 minutes – getting straight to the point is still a skill to learn.

Lyrics

Part Of His Dream

Baby you never show it
But I think I know
Problems we fail to solve
Swell and explode
I never saw the signs
Love is blind
Even if you’re not mine
You won’t see me cry

Time will tell
Who’s to blame

Chorus
Tell me the words you whisper to him
So I can steal a part of his dream
I’ve been stumbling and cursing and begging for some kind of miracle
Tell me if we can go through this thing
Or is he a part of your dream
We can build from the rubble, I’m patient and humble, it’s possible

Maybe it’s not my fault
But what’s the point?
Trying to settle scores
I’d better go
Heard myself shout in hate
Then it’s too late
Baby I’m so ashamed
I’ll be on my way

Chorus
Tell me the words you whisper to him
So I can bite a part of his dream
I’ve been stumbling and cursing and begging for some kind of miracle
Tell me if we can go through this thing
Or is he a part of your dream
We can build from the rubble, I’m patient and humble, it’s possible

Time will tell
Who’s to blame
